The Trump administration is gearing up to privatize the United States Postal Service. John, this could be catastrophic.

Under normal circumstances, this move would be cumbersome to Oregon's families and cause a major disruption in commerce and information services. But, consider the potential impact now on just two institutions:

Health Care: Hospitals and care providers are relying on the USPS for deliveries of personal protective equipment, and families sheltering in place are receiving life-saving medications in the mail. A change in service could leave vulnerable populations stranded.

Democracy: We've seen pictures of the lines snaking through neighborhoods as Americans have risked their safety in order to vote in primary elections. With many states adopting emergency vote-by-mail protocols, our democracy would be severely disrupted by the privatization of the USPS.

Demand Congress save the USPS. Sign the petition.
