John:

Have you considered donating to help us feed more working families who’ve just lost the $600/week federal unemployment insurance?

While some workplaces may be re-opening, the hospitality industry remains largely shuttered. Most of these workers don’t know when they’re going back to work, or if they’ll even have a job to return to. In the meantime, the federal government has yet to move forward with a viable solution to this unemployment crisis.

Hospitality workers have depended on the federal $600/week UI benefit that just expired to survive, and now they worry if they’ll be able to feed their families in the coming months.

Sadly, the families of Black and brown workers, who make up a disproportionate number of COVID cases and layoffs, will suffer the most.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to give, any amount you can contribute will be used to feed working families.
