When the pandemic hit, I called local officials in my district to see what they needed. The answers were the same everywhere: they needed PPE for frontline workers and ventilators for hospital patients, and there were none to be found.

This is unacceptable. We live in the most developed country in the world -- and we couldn't produce 5ยข face masks.

We can't let this happen again. That's why I just introduced the bipartisan, bicameral Resilient Manufacturing Task Force Act. This legislation will create a public-private task force to maintain our supply chains, monitor logistics, and get us through any crisis life throws our way. Will you sign your name and tell the rest of Congress to join us?

Our manufacturing process had become over-reliant on the global supply chain. As COVID closed factories worldwide, we didn't have the materials to meet our country's demand. But thankfully Michigan rose to the occasion:

"Michigan's incredible manufacturers stepped up to meet the industrial call to action, and recover our supply chains through their ingenuity and ability to make anything." -- Haley Stevens

This bill will empower our country to get it done, no matter what. Sign on to demand this bill be taken to a vote! โ†’
