Jack,

Tom Tiffany voted for Trump's “One Big Beautiful Bill” and called it a
major win for the American people. But the only winners are the richest 1%
of Americans, who are getting an average tax cut of $68,000. Even worse:
This is paid for by gutting Medicaid and food assistance, and Wisconsin
taxpayers are now subsidizing $284 million of that bill.

Let’s be clear: Tiffany voted to make rich people richer (at our
expense!). Now he's running for governor and pretending to care about your
tax bill.

Earlier this year, he rolled out his plan for Wisconsin: freeze property
taxes and slash spending. Except he’s not telling us what gets cut —
because he knows we won’t like the answer.

What’s the saying about squeezing blood from a stone? Our public schools
have already been gutted. Special education reimbursement is at 35% when
it should be 90%. Teachers are leaving the profession in droves. And
Tiffany's solution is to squeeze working people even harder while
protecting every cent of the tax breaks he handed to the mega rich and
corporations in Congress.

One of the reasons property taxes are so high is that Wisconsin homeowners
are being asked to pick up the shortfall in state funding. That’s why 241
municipalities put referenda to increase property taxes on the ballot in
2024.

I have a different option: tax the rich to fund schools.

[ [link removed] ]My bill creates a new 10% tax bracket on the millionth dollar of income
and above, which will fully fund public schools and raise special
education reimbursement to 90% while also taking the burden of school
funding off of property taxes — estimated by the Wisconsin Legislative
Reference Bureau to cut the average property tax bill by 44%.

Our government is committed to giving the super-rich a free ride and
asking regular Wisconsinites to bail them out. We can’t fix this unless we
tackle it at the source: We need the wealthiest Wisconsinites to pay their
fair share.

Tiffany wants to protect tax breaks for the ultra wealthy and pretend it’s
relief for everyday people.

I want to actually fix the system that's squeezing us to death and make
life more affordable.

[ [link removed] ]But I can't do it without you. Can you chip in $10 to help us build a
campaign that fights for working families instead of bowing to
billionaires?
