Team, we did it: we hit our $200,000 July goal AND surpassed it by more than $10,000, bringing our total amount raised to a staggering $210,000. It was our best month ever.

7,224 individual contributions from every state in this country helped make this happen. People stepping up and chipping in whatever they could afford in a moment when so many of us are facing so much uncertainty — it means so much to me.

I'm so proud of our grassroots team for putting in the work to meet people where they are, running a campaign for people without a dime of PAC money of any kind. The dysfunction, toxicity, and gridlock we see in Congress is a function of big money, preventing meaningful progress. We have to change the way we do politics in this country so that Congress is fighting for people, not for corporations — and if we win in November, we can do just that.

But first, we have to be able to counter the negativity, paranoia, and misinformation that Roger Williams and the big money in DC behind him will flood into Texas. They will continue to ramp up spending, and Trump Republicans won't give up this seat without a fight.
