First: As Indiana Governor, Mike Pence signed every abortion restriction that passed across his desk, later saying that he “long[s] for the day that Roe v. Wade is sent to the ash heap of history.”1,2
Then: Donald Trump selected Pence to be his vice president in order to gain the support of the Radical Right, including Susan B. Anthony List, who said Pence’s addition “ignited the ticket” and created “a whole new ballgame” for the extreme anti-choice agenda to be championed in the White House.3,4
Now: It was just announced that Mike Pence is headlining an in-person, multi-state tour of fake women's health centers and other anti-choice organizations alongside Susan B. Anthony List. The fact that they’re starting in Florida — where cases of COVID-19 are skyrocketing — is the latest example of so-called “pro-life” extremists not caring about protecting lives at all.
Mike Pence has shown us time and time again he doesn’t work for us. He’s beholden to anti-choice extremists like Susan B. Anthony List and takes every opportunity to prioritize ideology over science to attack reproductive freedom. Donate today to NARAL’s 2020 Reproductive Freedom Fund to put an end to Mike Pence’s political career this November.
