Team --
Here are two developments that will shake up this race.
First, Tom Steyer joined our crowded pool of candidates as the 26th person to announce their run for president.
Every day this race is tightening in the polls. We’re hearing stories of the latest trips to Iowa and New Hampshire, and new candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Now is the time to keep up our momentum.
Right now, our campaign is focused on guaranteeing my spot on the debate stage. It’s critical that we’re able to share our message and vision with the country -- and I need to reach 130,000 individual donors to secure my spot. I can’t do it without your help.
Make a donation today, and help make sure I’m on stage at the fall debates.
The second development is California Rep. Eric Swalwell is suspending his campaign for president and will instead run for re-election to the House. He ran a strong race and focused on an issue that he and I both have a deep passion for: eliminating gun violence. I’m grateful to him for helping to shine a bright light on this crisis.
The truth is Swalwell’s exit from this race and Steyer’s entry into it proves how difficult the road ahead will be for underdog campaigns like ours. That’s why it’s so important to reach voters whenever we can on a level playing field. A big part of that is making sure our message is heard on every debate stage.
So team, I’m asking personally: Can you chip in even just $1 to help secure my spot in all of the debates?
Let's do this,
Cory
