Jack,

Six American service members have died in the strikes on Iran. When asked
about the deaths, Trump said: ”'We expect casualties, but in the end it's
going to be a great deal for the world.”

Right now, more than 400 Wisconsin National Guard soldiers are stationed
in Kuwait and Iraq, in harm’s way. We must bring them home safely.

On Saturday — the day the strikes began — I was the only candidate in this
race to speak up about the killing of 165 Iranian elementary school
students and their teachers. As I write this, that's still the case. Since
then, the UN Secretary-General and UNESCO have condemned the strike as a
grave violation of international law. The other candidates still haven't
said a word.

I understand why they're silent — it's politically safe. But I'm not
running for governor to be safe. I'm running because Wisconsin deserves a
leader who tells the truth — about the cost of war, about who pays the
price, and about the moral bankruptcy of a government that will spend
billions on bombs while telling working families there's no money left for
them.

We can oppose a dictator AND oppose an illegal war. We can grieve for
schoolgirls buried under rubble AND hope for the safety of American
service members. We can want freedom for the Iranian people AND demand our
government follow the Constitution.

As governor, my job will be to fight for Wisconsinites — to lower costs,
protect democracy, and make sure working people can build a good life
here.

But leadership is also about values. I will always choose human life over
political convenience.

[ [link removed] ]If you think that's the kind of leadership Wisconsin needs, stand with
me today.
