Empty Chair Town Halls
Over the last two weeks, #Fight4HER activists hosted eight virtual town halls around the country to talk about the importance of reproductive health and rights. #Fight4HER champions, reproductive health experts, and constituents from our target districts engaged in discussions about the state of global reproductive health and rights, how we can make sure our elected officials fight for reproductive freedom in Congress, and why we need to fight hard in 2020 to elect officials who will prioritize international family planning and reproductive health care worldwide. Read a full recap on our blog!

A Bill to Repeal the Helms Amendment
On Wednesday, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL-9) introduced the Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act in the House of Representatives. This bill will repeal the Helms Amendment, which prevents any U.S. foreign aid from being used for safe abortion under any voluntary circumstance. Passed in 1973, the Helms Amendment has not reduced or eliminated the need for abortion—only put safe abortion out of the reach of millions of people around the world. Please send a letter to your representative asking them to support this critical bill today.
