"We don't wait for something bad to happen, we anticipate what
[Trump is] going to do, and try to prepare. I have no doubt that if
the president actually tries to move the election, my team would
be ready to file a legal challenge in 24 hours."
- Attorney General Bob Ferguson
July 30, 2020
Team,
I believe in being prepared. Months ago, I asked my legal team
to get ready for the possibility that President Trump might
attempt to unlawfully delay the election.
Republicans feigned outrage. The State Republican Party Chair
went on television and said my assertion that the president might
try to illegally move the election was "ridiculous". He called me
"reprehensible."
Well, here we are.
Last week, the president tweeted about delaying the election.
If he follows through with this unlawful action, my office is
prepared to file a legal challenge within 24 hours.
We said we'd be ready if and when President Trump tried to move
the election -- and we meant it.
I know how to hold the president accountable -- because I've
stopped him 30 times in court. With the election approaching
Tuesday, I need to know I have your support. Can you make a
contribution now towards my last fundraising deadline before the
Primary Election so I can run a successful re-election campaign?

We haven't met our goal yet, and with so much on the line, it's
important that we don't miss this one.
Do I have your support to keep up this fight?
