I am writing to you from the other side of the world on deployment with the U.S. Army. Being here I'm reminded that our freedoms come with great commitment and dedication and I know I can depend on each of you to continue building our democracy into that more perfect union.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we haven't been able to do our normal in-person fundraising. It's meant tough choices: We had to cancel the Kennedy-Roosevelt Dinner and decided not to have an office for this campaign cycle. And the list goes on.
