That headline says it all, friend. The Constitution states clearly that "representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state." People are people. But the Trump administration is saying otherwise.
Why? Because if they can get away with not counting people who are undocumented in the 2020 Census, they can transfer more legislative power and federal funding to areas that tend to be whiter and more Republican.
It's pathetic. And it's not going to happen. I promise you that the NDRC will use every tool at our disposal to fight back against this desperate effort to undermine our representative democracy.
