John - it’s Jen Cox, Mark’s campaign manager.
I’m reaching out because we have a big emergency fundraising deadline coming up on Tuesday and I want to explain why it’s so important.
As Mark’s campaign manager, it’s my job to make sure we are always firing on all cylinders. So it came as a real shock to me when I learned that we fell short of our July fundraising deadline just days before the primary.
But instead of going into panic mode, we did exactly what Mark would do — work the problem and come up with a solution to get us back on track.
That’s why it’s so crucial that we hit this $250,000 emergency fundraising goal. It’s what we’ve calculated we need to catch up with our Republican opponent and eliminate our fundraising shortfall from July.
So before I go any further, let me make my ask:

I was worried when we fell short, but then I was instantly reminded of the dedicated folks like you on our list who step up in times of need like this.
You are our secret weapon that will keep us in the race all the way up until election day.
I seriously cannot thank you enough for having Mark’s back. We are going to win this race because of you.
Full speed ahead!
