When we first launched this campaign, we never imagined we’d need to move our entire operation online. Due to the pandemic, we canceled all of our in-person fundraisers for the past several months, reworked our budget, and completely changed our organizing strategy.

Although we can’t campaign traditionally, it’s still critical we get our message out to every voter. So, despite our fundraising slowing down in recent weeks, I made a significant investment to keep our television ad on the air and our voter outreach program running strong.

I made that decision because there’s far too much at stake to leave any voter out of this conversation — and out of this election — even knowing it could drastically tighten our budget in the closing months of this race.

Our finance team is concerned we’ll fall short on our fundraising goal before Tuesday. But I’m willing to bet that this grassroots team of ours can get us back on track and ensure we have the financial resources to take this calculated risk and win our primary.
