Tell the EPA to Stop Undermining Clean Air Protections During COVID-19

At a time when we should be strengthening clean air protections, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency--against the advice of its own scientists--has decided not to enhance critical safeguards to better control dangerous air pollution. This inaction means up to 12,500 more people will die prematurely every year--and Black and Latino people, as well as low-income communities, bear a disproportionate share of the air pollution burden. The continued assault on our nation’s clean air safeguards is unconscionable, especially now, in the middle of a global pandemic that directly impacts respiratory health. Tell the EPA to step up and protect people’s health.
