Dear John,
Alzheimer's disease has affected three generations of Carolyn Staley's family.
Carolyn’s mom, Betty Ann, and her aunt, Mary, both received an Alzheimer's diagnosis. Carolyn's interest in fighting Alzheimer's stems not only from her eight years caring for her mother, who recently passed, but also from her personal concern for anyone facing the disease.
Carolyn's family will hold a memorial for Betty Ann — a civics and history teacher, a Southern cook and a wife of 60 years. They'll gather a small group of friends, some of whom go back decades, and plant a "flame" azalea in her memory.
In memory of Betty Ann, Carolyn and her husband, David, have generously offered a $50,000 Matching Gift Challenge and agreed to donate $50,000 to the Alzheimer's Association to help advance vital research and ensure other families like theirs have critical care and support they need — if supporters like you come together to give $50,000 by August 15.
Help the Staley family fight Alzheimer's.

Will you join the fight against Alzheimer's by donating today, while your first gift, up to $50,000, can go twice as far in helping families like the Staleys?
Carolyn believes her mother, who loved caring for others, would find this generous match challenge in Betty Ann's honor to be the most fitting tribute of all. Please give now, while you can double your impact on our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Any amount you give can be matched, up to a total of $50,000, in honor of Betty Ann and the millions living with Alzheimer's and other dementia, so please give now.
Thank you.
Gratefully,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
