National: Rehire America 👩‍💼👷

Our nation is certainly hurting as a result of the COVID economic shutdowns but sending stimulus checks to individuals won't stimulate the economy, it will only grow the deficit. That's why we recommend an alternative: the Rehire America Workplace Recovery Act (RAWRA).

Rather than giving out money like candy on Halloween, RAWRA would provide relief for businesses for cash losses due to shutdowns in order to bring stability to their operations and cash positions. One key goal is to ensure businesses can retain current employees and rehire former ones.

State: Groupthink or Get Out!

What happens when a state is dominated by one party that despises opposing political views for decades? Half of the states population becomes disenchanted and moves to Texas...

Enter California. A poll from 2019 confirmed that 74% of California's very Conservative voters are looking into moving and that 84% of those voters specifically cited the increasingly hostile political climate. Recently, many big names like Joe Rogan and Tesla have admitted to being fed up with California and are moving to Texas to escape bad governance and mandatory groupthink.

Local: DISD Wants to do What Now? 😲

While Dallas families are tightening their budgets to account for the economic meltdown caused by COVID, Dallas ISD is proposing the biggest bond in Texas history at a staggering $3.7 billion. Yes, you read that number right.

The bond package is proposing to fund "construction, acquisition and equipment of school buildings... and the purchase of new school buses..." oh, and a new stadium, a natatorium, and a performing arts center. Just like Dallas familiesin this difficult time, DISD should be tightening up their budgets, not trying to set spending records.
