This week we will be having more recruitment events and another general meeting on Friday.

It was so nice seeing everyone last week! Our events were a a huge success and it was so nice meeting our new members. We're looking forward to another fun week with our fellow ASU Dems.
Our recruitment events last week were a blast and we're so excited to see more people at this week's. Below is our schedule:
** TONIGHT: Netflix n Chill - Wednesday 8/28

We'll be chillin' and watching Parks and Rec together. See you all 7pm at Discovery Hall 150.

Devils on Mill - Tuesday 8/29
Before the first football game of the season (Go Devils!) we'll be joining the tailgate and tabling with ASU PAB.

D-Backs Game - Friday 8/30
After our meeting we'll be riding the lightrail together to the Diamondbacks game at Chase Field to watch together.
This Friday we will be having a general meeting at 3pm in Discovery Hall 350. We will be featuring guest speaker Arizona Senator Juan Mendez. An Arizona State University graduate and close friend of the ASU Young Democrats, Mendez was previously a Representative in the AZ House. He has served as an AZ Senator since 2017. At our meeting we'll be discussing current political events like the Democratic primaries and we will also be having our weekly Candidate Corner.
Mark Mitchell is this week's candidate for our Candidate Corner. Mitchell is a Tempe native and the current mayor of Tempe as of May 2012. Previously, he was elected to the City Council in March of 2000 and served three four-year terms. He is a graduate of Arizona State University. He is currently running for re-election and will be at our meeting to answer questions.
After our meeting on Friday we will be having a meeting for our Diversity and Inclusion Committee and afterwards a Policy Committee meeting. We will catch you all after our General Meeting to discuss these very important topics!
