Thank you for all of your help these last few days in hitting our July fundraising goal. Because of your grassroots generosity, we can officially say that our first month of the third quarter was a success!
A couple of weeks ago, I took the pledge to refuse all corporate PAC donations — not because I'm so well-funded that I don't need the financial assistance, but because I refuse to answer to billionaire donors rather than everyday Minnesotans. You are the backbone of this campaign and the reason I'm fighting to flip this seat.
Pete Stauber received over $50,000 in corporate donations last quarter from the very same companies who are hurting small businesses and working families at a time where we need relief the most. That's Big Pharma, oil and gas giants, large banking institutions, and other powerhouse corporations that have politicians like Trump and Stauber in their pockets.
With the outpouring of grassroots support that I've been receiving from you all, I'm hopeful that this is our time to take back our democracy and demand accountability from our leaders. Together, the everyday people of our country are standing up and fighting back against corruption, oppression, and a government that favors the top 1%.
And every benchmark that you've helped us reach, puts us one step closer to a brighter, more progressive Minnesota. So, thank you for helping me push our country forward.
