Hi John,

From the beginning of my career, I have stood with the LGBTQ+ community. When I was in the Florida Senate, I sponsored legislation for marriage equality, LGBTQ+ parent equality, and helped lead the effort to end the LGBTQ+ adoption ban. As your representative in Congress, I voted for the Equality Act to provide civil rights to all LGBTQ+ Americans, voted against banning transgender Americans from serving in our military, and continuously push back against the Trump administrations attempts to pass laws that openly discriminate against LGBTQ+ indiviuals in employement, housing, and education.

Back in the district, we have worked with our local LGBTQ+ civil rights and service groups to protect LGBTQ+ youth, pass local human rights ordinances, and provide healthcare for LGBTQ+ seniors. We will continue this steadfast support always!

My commitment has never wavered, and I am proud to have the support of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for my re-election campaign. Together, I know that we can ensure a safer and brighter future for the LGBTQ+ members of our Central Florida community.
