Friend -- When President Obama emailed you, he said the fight to end gerrymandering doesn't end with establishing redistricting commissions. We still need to empower the people serving on these commissions to be strong advocates for fair representation.

That's where you come in. We launched a Commission Education Fund to invest in training and resources in states like Colorado, Wisconsin, and Arizona where citizens are directly involved in drawing maps.

775 people chipped in to the Commission Education Fund since President Obama launched it last month. Will you help us get to 1,000 contributors?

Friend -- We talk a lot about holding state legislators accountable during the redistricting process. But in some states, thanks to independent redistricting commissions, the power to draw electoral maps will be directly in the hands of people just like you.

Citizen-led redistricting commissions aim to take map manipulation out of the equation. This might seem like an easy solution to gerrymandering -- but serving on a commission is a huge civic responsibility.

Right now, folks in states like Arizona and Wisconsin are applying to join their state's redistricting commission. And the All On The Line team is running a series of state-specific workshops to help people navigate that process and be prepared to serve if they're chosen.

I'm asking you to chip in to All On The Line's Commission Education Fund so that this essential work can continue. Will you make a donation today?

This work is especially critical in states like Colorado, Michigan, and Wisconsin where 2021 will be the first time that citizen-led commissions are involved in the redistricting process.

The fight to end gerrymandering doesn't end with establishing redistricting commissions. We still need to empower the people serving on these commissions to be strong advocates for fair representation. And we must protect the commissions from politicians who are determined to attack and interfere with redistricting reform just to hold onto their own jobs.

The maps drawn next year will determine the political landscape for the next decade. Can I count on you to help prepare your fellow citizens for the task?
