Governor Hogan Takes New Actions To Keep Maryland Safe and Open

Governor Hogan announced new actions to keep Marylanders safe and Maryland’s economy open for business as other states experience dramatic rise in COVID cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, expanding the statewide mask order and issuing an out-of-state travel advisory.

According to a new poll, an overwhelming majority of Marylanders approve of Governor Hogan’s safe, gradual, and effective approach to this crisis, scoring the “strongest marks in the nation” of any governor. As a result of Governor Hogan’s balanced and common-sense leadership, Maryland is experiencing one of the strongest economic recovery in the country, with an unemployment rate far below the national average.

Meanwhile, Governor Hogan continues to lead the bipartisan push for federal aid for state and local governments on behalf of the nation’s governors. Earlier today, Governor Hogan issued a bipartisan statement with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo renewing this urgent request for $500 billion in federal aid to protect essential services and the economic recovery."
