Dear Friends,
In the last four years, since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, civilians, journalists and the entire media landscape have been paying dearly.
Since 24 February 2022, more than 175 journalists have been victims of Russian attacks simply because they were doing their job: reporting the news.

Russia's attacks don’t just directly threaten the lives of these media professionals — they’re intended to prevent reliable information from reaching the rest of the world.
We believe that an informed public is the best defence against injustice, so we’ve launched concrete projects that help media continue reporting on the ground, notably via the International Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Media (IFRUM). This provides them with essential support, but more must be done to meet the enormous challenges at hand.
We’ve also doubled down on holding Russia accountable: on Monday 23 February 2026, we filed our 11th complaint with the International Criminal Court against the Kremlin — but this time, for crimes against humanity.
👉 Because of you, more than 2,100 journalists and 230 media outlets have received help from RSF since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We have provided them with protective equipment, training, psychological support and grants so they can continue keeping the world informed.
Yet the war still rages on and the work we have to do is immense.
With your support, we can keep on:
🚨 protecting journalists who are still in danger
🤝 revitalising Ukraine’s beleaguered independent media landscape
📢 ensuring access to reliable information for all
Make a donation today to defend the reliable information that risks being wiped out in a war zone.

Your help is what makes the difference. We’re Reporters Without Borders, but never without you.
