*Letter from an Editor*

Dear John,

Have you been listening to our new podcast "On the Issue with Michele Goodwin"? If not, now is the time to tune in! And you don't have to take my word for it: "On the Issues" currently has a five star rating in Apple Podcast and is in the top 2-percent of downloads this month.
We have designed this podcast to follow in the long tradition of "Ms".'s feminist reporting, rebelling and truth telling. We'll never shy away from difficult topics or obfuscate the facts. In a world of "fake news," we'll "always" tell it like it is.
Coming this Tuesday on a special bonus episode of the podcast, Dr. Goodwin and her guests will be tackling toxic masculinity and the deadly violence perpetrated by some in the so-called "men's rights movement." Dr. Goodwin will be speaking with three incredible experts for our new bonus episode: lawyer and author *Jill Filipovic*; internationally acclaimed expert on preventing gender violence, *Jackson Katz*, Ph.D.; and *Saida Grundy,* Ph.D.*,* assistant professor of sociology, African-American studies and women's and gender Studies at Boston University.
The episode was prompted by the brutal murder last weekend of the 20 year old son of New Jersey federal judge Esther Salas, the first Latina appointed to be a federal judge in the state, by an anti-feminist, men's rights activist and attorney whose case challenging the U.S. government's male-only military draft registration system was pending in Salas's court. Judge Salas's husband was critically wounded in the attack.
The murderer was known for his racist and misogynist rants against women, whom he called "feminazis." He also threatened that "Feminists should be careful in their meddling with nature. There are 300 million firearms in this country, and most of them are owned by guys." You can read more now in "Ms". Scholar Carrie Baker's report below.
Meanwhile, this week-with 94 days to go until November 3rd-the President took to Twitter to threaten to delay the Election. In a featured article below, "Ms". looked into the possibility of this claim, and while I hope you take the time to read this fascinating and critically important piece, let me unequivocally state the truth here: "President Trump cannot postpone, delay or cancel the election. Election Day is set by an act of Congress and only Congress can change the date. "But that doesn't mean he won't try-and we must be ready.
