John --
Last night, President Trump said it best, "America
is BACK!" Just over a year ago, we had a wide-open border, an
administration that drove inflation to a high of 9.1%, our adversaries
took advantage of us, and our economy was in the toilet. Weak
leadership was at the helm.
The contrast could not be clearer.
President Trump's State of the Union address was a victory for common
sense and a true celebration of America. Real wages are up, inflation
is dropping to pre-COVID levels, we've seen border crossings drop to
zero, we've ended Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs,
ended taxes on tips, overtime, and social security, secured the
largest tax cuts in American history, our enemies fear us, and
gasoline is now available under $2.
President Trump highlighted some of the things that make us proud to
be citizens of the greatest nation on Earth. He awarded Connor
Hellebuyck--the USA Men's Olympic Hockey Team's goalie--the
Presidential Medal of Freedom, honored a brave WWII veteran from our
greatest generation, and featured American moments of exceptionalism
ahead of our nation's 250th birthday.
*My Democratic colleagues sat
for most, if not all, of the speech as President Trump shared the news
of how we're putting our country back on the right track.* The most
insane moment was when President Trump challenged Congress to *"stand
if you agree the first duty of government is to protect American
citizens, not illegal aliens."* Republicans stood proudly.
It's
clearer than ever that President Trump is an America First fighter,
and a fearless patriot. I'm proud to call him a friend. Oklahoma, I
can't thank you enough for giving me this opportunity to
serve.
Please take a moment to let me know your favorite
accomplishment President Trump highlighted in his State of the Union
speech in the survey below. Keep in mind that federal election law
limits how much I'm allowed to communicate with constituents during
election years. By answering this question, you will opt in to
continue hearing from me, even during those periods.
God
Bless,
Markwayne
