John, this is truly the last email you’ll get from me and my team about our July fundraising goal -- the books close in just a few hours, so I had to ask one last time whether you can chip in before midnight.

If you haven’t yet had a chance yet to donate this month -- or you can spare another $5 or $10, I just want to let you know that each and every contribution makes a real difference to our campaign. I’m proud to be relying on grassroots support, because it means that I’m directly accountable to you, and in our democracy, that’s the way representation should work.

But, as you know, we’re up against a self-funded candidate who doesn’t need to rely on donations, or be accountable to the people of our community. Your contributions will help us defeat Jay Obernolte and make our voices heard in Washington.
