Friend -
Today, Senator Johnny Isakson announced that he will resign from the United States Senate at the end of this year to focus on his health. Senator Isakson has served the people of Georgia and the people of our country for decades, and our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.
Senator Isakson's resignation means that Georgia voters will head to the polls next November to vote on not one, but two United States Senate races. These races could very well decide the fate of majority control in the U.S. Senate in the next Congress.
Combined with Georgia's 16 electoral votes, key competitive congressional races, and control of the state house at stake, this news confirms what we've known all along: Georgia is a critical battleground state for 2020.
With so much on the line next year, we need to get to work now to ensure that every eligible voter can access the ballot and have their vote fairly counted so that the people's voice can be heard. Will you chip in today to help us build the most robust voter protection Georgia has ever seen?

In the face of roadblocks to the polls, we must work to protect our right to vote now more than ever. We must support and vote for leaders who will expand access to the ballot, not restrict it. Friend, this is the fight of a generation, and it's on us to see it through to victory.
Fighting back against voter suppression isn't easy, and it may not always feel glamorous. But expanding access to the ballot and ensuring free, fair elections is critical for our democracy and could very well determine the makeup of the United States Senate next year.
To win in Georgia and across the country, we need to invest early and build strong voter protection teams that can anticipate and address problems before it's too late.
Help us get there,
Team Fair Fight
