Dear John,

Tonight, Donald Trump will stand before Congress and deliver his State of the Union address, and we already know exactly what to expect . A lot of bragging, a lot of bluster, and a complete detachment from the reality that working families are facing.

He is going to brag about the economy, completely ignoring the "Trump Tax" that working families have been forced to pay at the grocery store.

He is going to brag about his immigration policies while ignoring that under DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, ICE has morphed into a rogue, masked paramilitary force that abuses American citizens. He won't talk about the families being torn apart or the innocent civilians losing their lives in our streets.

And he certainly won't talk about the devastation his MAGA allies caused when they forced a government shutdown and allowed critical Affordable Care Act premium tax credits to expire at the end of 2025.

That is why I wanted to bring a guest tonight who represents the real people paying the price for the GOP’s extreme agenda.

My guest tonight is a local small business leader from Milwaukee who has seen firsthand how those ACA premium tax credits provided affordable health care and economic stability for working families across the 4th Congressional District.

She is sitting in the gallery tonight to remind this Administration that when premiums skyrocket because of their political games, it is our local businesses, our educators, and our neighbors who suffer.

I am going to keep fighting to restore the ACA credits, demand accountability for the violence in our streets caused by DHS, and lower costs for Wisconsin families. But the truth is, we cannot stop this MAGA agenda as long as extreme Republicans control the House.
