In just a few hours, Donald Trump will speak to the American people during the first State of the Union address of his 2nd term.

But let’s get one thing clear: We don’t need him to tell us just how much damage he’s done over the past year. We know it, because we’re living it.

All of us have watched as masked and armed ICE agents storm schools, churches, and snatch innocent people off the street without any due process or respect for our fundamental rights.

We’ve felt the pain of skyrocketing health care costs after Trump and his MAGA cronies decided to slash Affordable Care Act subsidies to pay for the biggest billionaire bailout this country has ever seen.

We’re all seeing Trump weaponize the Department of Justice to jail protestors, dissidents, journalists, and his political enemies.

And we know that one year in, he’s just getting started.

That’s why we need to make tonight about us, our movement, and our fight for the future. Let’s make it clear that we refuse to be silenced by a lawless and reckless president and the MAGA billionaires backing him.

Before he enters the U.S. Capitol building — the same one he mounted an insurrection against to overturn the 2020 election — to deliver the State of the Union address, we need to show that we won’t back down to his authoritarian attacks.
