When I set an ambitious goal of reaching 200 online donations before tonight’s fundraising deadline, some people around here didn’t believe it was possible.

Well, I’m ecstatic to say we’re just 21 donations shy of hitting that target -- so I’m reaching out one last time before we wrap up tonight to ask you directly: Will you chip in today to prove me right and fund our efforts to help people vote by mail?

This election isn’t like any that came before it. Every day, we’re asking ourselves: How do you get out your message, how do you reach voters, how do you make sure everyone can cast a ballot -- in the middle of a pandemic?

It’s certainly not the question I thought we’d be asking when I got into this race.

But that’s just one of the challenges we face today, and in a world filled with so much uncertainty, it’s why fundraising deadlines like this one matter -- a lot. Your support allows our campaign to invest more in efforts to help people cast their ballots in ways many never have before. It’s not just the best way to win this election, it’s also the right thing to do.
