[[link removed]]Democrat,
As we move deeper into the summer months, we are all beginning to look forward to the General Election in November. We all need to be ready to do whatever we can to defeat Donald Trump and end the nightmare of the last four years. We may be up in the polls, but we know what happened in 2016 and that we can’t ever get complacent. Donate now to help us beat Trump and his allies and put our country back on the right track. Over the next few days, Muslims around the world will celebrate one of the two holiest Islamic holidays of the year. I would like to personally wish all Muslim Americans a happy and healthy Eid al-Adha. Our Muslim brothers and sisters have brought such a great deal to our country and I am grateful to live in a state with such a vibrant Islamic population. The New Jersey Democratic Party will never stop fighting against hate and discrimination against the Muslim community wherever it exists. Religious freedom is a tenet of our country and of the Democratic Party. I promise that you have an ally and an advocate in the NJDSC.

Earlier this week Governor Murphy was named a Co-Chair for the upcoming Democratic National Convention [[link removed]] , where our party will come together to nominate Joe Biden and his running mate to take on and defeat Donald Trump. On behalf of the NJDSC, I want to congratulate Governor Murphy. In addition to his long history as a party stalwart and his success as a former Finance Chair of the DNC, Governor Murphy has established himself as a national leader in helping our state make it through the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic and be poised to come back stronger and fairer than ever before. I look forward to serving alongside him as Chairman of New Jersey’s delegation.

With New Jersey leading the way in reducing the spread of COVID-19, Governor Murphy and his team are working hard to prevent the virus from coming back into our state. The state has issued travel guidelines, including 14-day quarantines for those arriving from states that have a rising number of current cases. For more information, visit the state’s travel information page here. [[link removed]]
For up to date information regarding new cases and directives regarding coronavirus, visit the state’s dedicated COVID-19 Information Hub [[link removed]] or follow Governor Murphy’s official pages on social media.

Two years ago, Democrats from across the state rallied behind Jeff Van Drew and helped him flip a long-held Republican district spanning parts of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties. But less than a year after he was sworn in, Van Drew betrayed our party and our state by flipping to the Republican Party and pledging his “undying support” to President Trump. Now, we have an opportunity to defeat Van Drew and elect a real Democrat who will never let us down like he did -- meet Amy Kennedy:

Amy Kennedy is a teacher and a mental health advocate with a long family history of public service in South Jersey. She prevailed in a contested primary election and is battle-tested and ready to take on Van Drew. You can learn more about Amy’s campaign here on her website. [[link removed]]
