There are only a few hours left to join us in making an impact for families grappling with the growing hunger crisis and the spread of COVID-19. Right now, you can show vulnerable people they are not alone.

Whatever you can contribute now, know that every dollar you give to Mercy Corps will be amplified to create the biggest change possible. Today, your donation can help us have up to 5 times the impact. Since 2015, we have been able to raise an average of $4 in government and foundation grants compared to every $1 in individual gifts. Your gift today will be combined with grants from other sources, enabling us to rush up to 5 times more lifesaving assistance to help children and families around the world.

What we do together and today matters for the millions of people who are skipping meals because they don’t have enough to eat. Not only can you help us provide immediate relief, you can help us build long-term solutions that empower tough, smart, capable people in the communities we serve.

We have until midnight TONIGHT to hit our $85,000 goal — so support from people like you is greatly appreciated. Give now to help families in crisis, and don’t forget that when your $1 joins an average of $4 in government and foundation grants, we can have up to 5 times the impact!

By helping today, you’ll be helping to create a lifeline for hungry families, building stronger communities and shaping a brighter future.

Thank you,
Adrienne

Subject: You can help meet this crisis.

This is your chance to make an impact for the world’s most vulnerable people ▸

During these past months, my discussions with our regional leadership have been focused on how we can mitigate the disastrous effects of COVID-19 on global hunger. While the immediate efforts to control the spread of this deadly virus are disrupting food supply chains, we also see desert locusts, extreme weather and the emerging global recession creating incredible challenges for communities struggling to get enough food. You can help meet this crisis.

Reading the news, you’re probably just as concerned as I am that families living on the brink of poverty will be pushed over the edge by the impacts of this pandemic. With your support, Mercy Corps can continue helping communities build resilience to compounding crises while providing people with the basic resources they need to survive.

This is your chance to join us in making a difference in the lives of millions. Since 2015, Mercy Corps has been able to raise an average of $4 in government and foundation grants compared to every $1 in individual gifts. Your gift today will be combined with grants from other sources, enabling us to provide up to 5 times more lifesaving assistance to people in crisis around the world. Make your gift to our COVID-19 Resilience Fund now, and it can help us go up to 5 times as far.

Together, we can have 5x the impact!

in support Mercy Corps can deliver!

Unless action is taken now, COVID-19 and a multitude of converging crises could cause over a quarter billion people to face acute food insecurity, conditions where their lives would be in immediate danger. Your support can help us build capacity within communities to take on the emerging challenges caused by the pandemic.

New risks of COVID-19

1. Physical Distancing. Physical distancing and illness may keep people away from markets and delay farmers in their planting and harvesting.

2. Unemployment. Reduced opportunities for income generation may limit people’s ability to buy enough food for themselves and their families.

3. Travel restrictions. Travel and trade policies may restrict access to seeds and food, increase prices, and slow distribution of aid.

We are well-positioned to mitigate these risks. Our global teams are implementing measures to ensure communities’ safety as they deliver assistance within distancing guidelines. In places like Niger, our cash-for-work programs are helping communities jumpstart their economies. And in restricted places like northwest Syria, teams are pursuing solutions to getting critical aid to communities in need.

We can strengthen communities against the pandemic and the growing hunger crisis, but it takes all of us to make it happen. Donate now, and we can make a greater impact for vulnerable communities facing food insecurity and more. Join us.

Thank you,

Craig
