Jack,

Politicians keep telling us the economy is doing great. On paper, wages
are keeping up with inflation.

But in reality, we’re working twice as hard to get half as much. The
things we actually need to survive — healthcare, housing, childcare,
education — are devouring entire paychecks.

The [ [link removed] ]cost of hospital services in Wisconsin has gone up 274% since
2000. Rent is up 136%. College tuition is up 188%. Your household income?
Only up about 90%.

We’re in an affordability emergency. The status quo isn’t cutting it.
That’s why I’m running for governor.

Permanent affordability is the heart of my agenda, and I have a plan to
directly lower costs for Wisconsin families:

* Universal childcare – because no parent should pay more for infant
care than for a year of college tuition. And when parents can stay in
the workforce, the economy can grow.
* Paid leave for all – because 3 out of 4 Wisconsin workers don’t have
it.
* Fully funded public schools — because when the state won't fund our
schools, your property taxes go up instead.
* Fairer, cheaper healthcare — because a 274% increase in hospital costs
isn't something you can budget your way out of.
* Raise the minimum wage — because Wisconsin's has been frozen at $7.25
since 2009.

That's not a radical wish list. It's an affordability agenda. And it's why
I'm running for governor.

This campaign is powered by people, not corporations. Our median donation
is $15, and today we’re asking for just half of that.

[ [link removed] ]Can you give $7.25 to help us fight for a living wage?

Invest one minimum wage hour in our campaign today, so we can create a
much higher one for you.

on the movement. Every dollar matters when you're running a campaign this
way.
