[1]Women's March

Hey John, it’s nice to meet you.

I’m Kim Russell — I lead our finance team at Women’s March. I don’t
usually write emails like this, but today I have a really important favor
to ask.

Every month, our organization sets a fundraising goal to make sure we have
the funds we need to unleash the full power of this movement. As of 4:06pm
EST we're $11,661 short from reaching our July fundraising goal and
there’s only a couple of hours left for us to fill in the gap.

With less than 100 days until the most important election of our lifetime
— we can’t risk falling short on a fundraising goal. That’s why I’m
reaching out and asking for your help.

[ [link removed] ]Will you chip in anything you can to help us reach our goal by midnight
tonight? We’re relying on grassroots donors like you to help build the
women-led movement we need to defeat Trump and advocate for the feminist
future we believe in.

Chip in now »

It’s been a busy month for the team here at Women’s March.

* We signed up thousands of supporters to our 100 day pledge to spend at
least one hour a week helping with voter contact efforts. Together,
we’re mobilizing the grassroots movement we need to defeat Trump.
* We graduated our first class of over 300 Feminist Organizing School
participants who sharpened their leadership skills, deepened their
understanding of intersectionality, and learned to use tools to
persuade voters and get-out-the-vote between now and the election.
* We kicked off our new live event series, Feminist Futures, to help
more folks engage in conversations around the intersection of gender,
race, class, and sexuality, and our shared future. These conversations
are essential if we want to unlock the feminist future we envision.
* We hosted four Defund the Police Organizing Calls with over 2,500
participants. We trained people on how to research their city budgets,
speak out at city council meetings, write letters to local papers,
talk to their friends and family, and more. We will continue to call
for justice for Breonna and organize and train our members to defund
the police in their communities.
* And we started mapping out even more plans for the months ahead
leading up to the election to make sure all of our voices are heard on
November 3rd.

All of this work is owned and funded by all of us. That’s why our average
donation is $14.98 and those donations make up 90% of our operating
revenue.

So if we want to make sure the good work continues and we finish the job
on November 3rd, it’s critical we hit our end-of-month fundraising goal
tonight by midnight. [ [link removed] ]If everyone reading this email right now chipped
in just $5 we’d instantly reach our goal. Can you chip in $5 or whatever
you can right now?

Thankful to be in this fight with you,

Kim Russell
