John,
Earlier this month, I went on The View and talked about something Democrats don't always say out loud enough: our "why."
For me, my why has always been my faith. It's my north star.
My faith teaches me to love my neighbor, and it teaches me that everyone is my neighbor — not just the people I agree with, not just the people I know, not just the people who vote the same way I do. Everyone, no exceptions.
That belief shapes how I lead, and it's why I vetoed the nastiest anti-trans bill that came through Kentucky. Because my faith tells me all children are children of God — I won't be part of a state government targeting and picking on kids for being who they are. It's why I've worked so hard to bring good-paying jobs to Kentucky, so families can live with dignity, and why I'm fighting for better healthcare, universal pre-K for our kids, and real opportunity, because everyone deserves a level playing field and the same chance to thrive.
At In This Together PAC, we're helping candidates figure out their why, John:
-- Why do they feel called to serve?
-- What in their life pushes them to stand up for others?
-- What grounds them when the pressure is on?
Because when you're guided by something deeper, you govern differently.
If you believe we need more leaders who lead from their values and with integrity, honesty, and a fundamental belief in the work they do and the people they fight for, chip in anything you can to help power this work forward. >>
