BREAKING FROM NBC News: Trump administration fails to indict Democrats involved in 'illegal orders' video
Yes, you're reading that headline right, John: President Trump's Department of Justice tried – and failed – to indict me for restating the law.
This is good news and a win for free speech – but we can't forget how we got here.
Last November, Trump called me a traitor and said that I should be executed. All because I released a video with five of my national security colleagues to remind members of our military that their oath is to the Constitution – they are never obligated to follow illegal orders.
Despite the relentless harassment I faced from the President and his allies, I stand by our video statement. No amount of intimidation will ever stop me from doing my job – and beyond that, doing what is morally right.

And as the headline shows, Americans are standing with us. Not a single juror on that panel was convinced by the Trump administration's lies and abuse of power.
Political revenge is never the solution, John. As we celebrate the win for free speech, I'm putting this distraction behind us and getting back to the real work at hand: focusing on affordability at home and our security across the world so we can all thrive.
Please, will you join me by chipping in $5 or whatever you can spare so I can continue delivering real progress for working families across PA-06 and protect our communities from this administration's attacks?
