Unlike a lot of Senators, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

My mom worked as a receptionist and my dad worked as a newspaper
distributor for the Washington Post and as a car salesman.  He used to
tell my sister and me, “I jump on and off this dirty truck every morning
so you won’t have to.” It was their work ethic that allowed me to become a
first-generation college and law school graduate.

Our government fails working people because there aren’t many of us in
Congress. That’s by design. The billionaires that
currently control Washington don’t want people like me in power, which is
why they spent tens of millions of dollars trying to defeat me in 2024.

They failed because of people like you, who gave what you could to help
those who didn’t have a penny to spare. And this year, with the Senate
majority on the line, we have to join together once again.

I’m doing everything I can to uplift the best Democratic candidates so we
can take back the halls of power. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in $10 to help me build
a coast-to-coast blue wave ahead of this critical election?

40 years ago, my parents worked hard, spent frugally, and earned a better
life for themselves and their kids. They saved up enough to buy a home and
retire with dignity.

Today, an average salary barely covers the basics. College savings,
retirement savings, and emergency savings are out of the question for
millions of Americans. Meanwhile, the wealthiest 0.01% are doing better
than ever.

So many of the issues I’m tackling on Capitol Hill never make mainstream
headlines because they don’t affect corporations, billionaires, or
politicians; they affect communities like the one that raised me up. Early
detection and treatment of uterine fibroids. Tax credits for beauty
industry businesses. Services for homeless youth. The unaffordable housing
crisis.

I’m determined to build an economy that gives the working people of
America their FAIR share of the prosperity they create. But if we’re going
to create a government that works for us and not billionaires, we’ll need
a grassroots machine to rival their millions.

[ [link removed] ]Chipping in $10 or $25 today will get us off to a strong start. Every
dollar helps my message of economic power reach more people and uplift a
new generation of Democratic changemakers across America.
