Africa & Europe
Praise God for justice finally being served for A.P.* in northern Uganda after nearly five years of waiting and perseverance. We thank God for the strength and endurance God has given to A.P. and her family as they navigated a long and difficult legal process after she was harmed by a neighbor at just four years old. Please pray for protection for the family amid recent threats and for continued restoration and healing for A.P.
Latin America
We praise God for the successful Regional Survivor Summit hosted by IJM Guatemala, which brought together survivor leaders from across Latin America for the first time. We thank Him for the collaboration, learning and empowerment that took place as emerging and established survivor groups built skills, shared experiences and strengthened their collective voice for justice. Please pray that the relationships formed and the tools gained during the summit will create lasting impact in communities and justice systems throughout El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Peru.
South Asia
Praise God for smooth and safe elections in Bangladesh last week! The country has seen a lot of political transformation in the last few years. Pray that the incoming prime minister and parliament would prioritize protecting vulnerable people from violence. Pray our new IJM team can make strong connections with authorities as we seek to end child sex trafficking within the country.
Asia Pacific
Please pray for the nearly 40 law enforcers, social workers, prosecutors and other frontline professionals who completed the Multi-Disciplinary Team—Basic Internet Crimes Against Children Training held in partnership with IJM Philippines and several local and government partners. Ask God to strengthen and guide them as they apply what they learned about identifying and responding to online exploitation, including legal frameworks, investigative approaches and trauma-informed care. Pray that this training will lead to real protection for children across the Philippines as these teams put their skills to work.
