Reporting to you from campaign HQ in sunny Missoula! We have been knocking doors, phone banking and meeting as many Montanans as we can. But, as you know, it’s no easy process. 

August 31st marks not only the end of the month but also the mid-quarter deadline. This is an important time for campaign finance. At the end of each quarter we are required to report to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) how much money we have raised as a campaign. 

Even though we wish it were not the case, campaigns are judged on how much money they can bring in. Our opposition will look at our numbers as an opportunity to criticize. The Democrats in Washington will use it as a jumping off point to decide who to stand behind. All of these factors will affect how we perform as November 2020 approaches.
