John --

I am a born and raised Alaskan -- a gillnetter commercial fisherman who has been fishing our waters since I was a young boy. As a doctor, I've taken an oath to serve my patients. For me, my life has always been about Alaska and helping people.

As your U.S. Senator, I will be an advocate for Alaskans -- not special interests.

Today, I took the no corporate PAC pledge, proving that this campaign will be funded by people like you. If you're with me to end Citizens United and get big money out of politics, please chip in $5 or more before our end-of-month deadline on Saturday.

As an Alaskan and as a fisherman, I know that harvesting, cleaning, and preparing salmon is part of our way of life -- but crony capitalism is putting it all at risk. Dunleavy and Sullivan's allies, working on behalf of a Canadian mining company, overruled scientists who say the Pebble Mine would be an environmental and economic disaster for Alaska.

I'll be a U.S. Senator who is an ally to fishermen, who protects our environment, and who respects salmon for everything they provide for us.

Alaska has the highest health care costs in America, which causes wage stagnation and slower economic growth. Dunleavy, Sullivan, and McConnell have only made the problem worse, backing efforts to take away health care from the elderly, the sick, and the vulnerable.

As a doctor, I believe nobody should be sick because they are poor, or poor because they are sick. I gave up my medical practice to find solutions to health care for all Alaskans, and as your U.S. Senator, I'll fight for a public option that allows everyone to have access to affordable care.

Alaska can no longer afford politicians like Mike Dunleavy, Dan Sullivan, and Mitch McConnell who reward foreign mining firms and big insurance companies at the expense of our environment, our health, and our economy.

With your help, I'll go to Washington with a prescription for change that ends Citizens United and gets our government working for the people again. But I can't do it alone. That's why I'm urging you to chip in $5 or more before our end-of-month deadline on Saturday to help me build a truly people-powered campaign.
