We’re less than 100 days away from November’s General Election, and if the leadup to the 2018 Midterms are any indication of what lies ahead, then we’re in for an incendiary few months.

In 2018, we saw the lengths that Donald Trump went to in order to boost Republicans by stirring up xenophobic fears over a fabricated migrant caravan and pushing Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation through to the Supreme Court -- and that was when he wasn’t even on the ballot.

Now, as Trump begins to formulate a dangerous campaign strategy -- deploy federal forces to U.S. cities, undermine the integrity of our vote-by-mail system, and politicize a deadly virus -- we need leaders in Congress who can hold him accountable, defend our democracy, and get working Americans back on the road to recovery. I’m proud to have been that leader, but I’ll need to focus all of my energy on fighting Trump’s destructive agenda, instead of worrying about my own re-election chances, and I'll need your help:
