A recent poll shows that Democratic challenger Sara Gideon has a 5 point lead on Republican incumbent Susan Collins in the Maine Senate race.
Despite being known as a “moderate Republican,” Collins has played a key role in aiding and abetting Donald Trump’s destruction of our democracy.
Senator Collins voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in 2017 -- putting the young, anti-choice, anti-gay rights justice on the Court for decades to come.
She also voted to acquit Donald Trump during his impeachment trial earlier this year, saying he’d learned his lesson. Since then, Trump has hindered efforts to stop foreign interference in the 2020 election, constantly blamed Democrats for voter fraud, and expanded police powers in American cities.
So much for learning his lesson.
