When I launched my campaign for president, I made my motto, "for the people."

I did so because I believe that the values that we cherish as the American people are on the line in this election, and the future of the kind of country we want to be depends on the work that we do right now.

We all know that Donald Trump is not "for the people." He's for himself. While more than 150,000 Americans have died from COVID-19, Trump has been taking to the golf course and refusing to accept any responsibility. We simply cannot afford four more years of his negligence and narcissism.

And here's one more thing I do know for certain. Like me, Joe Biden is for the people. I know Joe's heart, and I've seen first-hand his compassion and dedication to public service. He'll be a president for all of us, and I'm giving everything I've got to help him succeed this year.

Now, Joe's campaign is building support, building momentum, and he's got hard-working staff and volunteers across the country putting in long hours every day to make a victory possible. But, he still needs to ensure that his fundraising stays on track in order to match up to the war chest that Trump has been building for over three-and-a-half years, and that's why I'm reaching out.

Joe faces a big end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight, and it's imperative that he meets his $8 million July goal. But that result lies squarely in our hands, and while I know you're already doing a lot for his campaign, I hope you find it in your heart to go the extra mile and pitch in your first $5 to his campaign right now »
