John,
As a candidate in the time of
COVID-19, one of my biggest responsibilities is protecting the health
of our neighbors and the volunteers dedicating their time to this
race. That means running a campaign that reaches our neighbors
digitally and doing everything we can to avoid unnecessary in-person
contact and outdoor politicking.
But
I’ll be frank, John, this new type of campaigning costs
money and every dollar matters if we are going to stay
competitive.
A donation made today will receive
a 6:1 match in public financing, meaning your $10, $50, or $250
contribution will become a $60, $300, or $1500 contribution to our
campaign. Can
you make a contribution before midnight
tonight?
These asks can get tiring, I know.
But there’s too much at stake in this race: the looming specter of
evictions, shuttering of the small businesses we know and love, and a
homelessness crisis that needs effective, compassionate
solutions.
We have a long road to recovery
ahead and I’m the only candidate that has put forward a
comprehensive vision for how we can emerge from this crisis as a
stronger, more vibrant community.
Thank you so much for your support
and as always, please reach out to me if there’s anything you
need.
-Vallie
