* From Sunday 2 August, Victoria bus station will be open for both pick up and drop off. Please check with your service provider before travelling.

* From Monday 3 August NET will return to its normal timetable with tram services operating every 7 minutes.
* In addition, the NET Travel Centre will also be opening, however customers are encouraged to continue to use online and phone services instead.

Victoria Embankment closing to through traffic as part of Covid-19 recovery plans
Victoria embankment closure

From Monday 3 August, Victoria Embankment in Nottingham will be closed to through traffic on a trial basis, as part of emergency plans to encourage more people to travel by foot and bike and support a greener recovery from Covid-19 as lockdown restrictions are eased.

The closure will be in place at all times and all days of the week, initially for the summer period, just after its junction with Wilford Grove to its junction with Bunbury Street. Parts of the Victoria Embankment will remain open to allow car parking, but vehicle accessinto residential areas of Meadows from the Embankment will be limited.

Rolling lane closure from Newport Drive to the A610 for carriageway and footway improvements.

*Monday 27 July - Friday 7 August: Park Avenue (Carlton)*
Road closure from outside no.11 to the junction with Bowers Avenue for excavation to repair a pipe defect.

*Monday 3 August - Friday 7 August: Western Boulevard*
Lane closure at the junction with Aspley Lane for tree maintenance works.

*Wednesday 5 August; Castle Boulevard*
Lane closure near Grace Church for clearance of blocked ducts.

*Wednesday 5 August - Friday 7 August: Wilford Road*
Lane closure near to the junction of Traffic Street/Waterway Street for clearance of blocked ducts.

Talbot Street closure

From Saturday 1 August - Sunday 2 August, Talbot Street from the junction of Wollaton Street to the junction of Clarendon Street will be closed to traffic while North Midland Construction dismantle a tower crane.

Please use alternate routes and avoid the area where possible as delays are expected.

Work begins in August to create a welcoming new entrance to the city from the south in the Broadmarsh area, with major changes taking place on the roads surrounding the area.

On Saturday 8 August Collin Street and Canal Street from its junction with Middle Hill will close to traffic, Middle Hill will become two way and the flow of traffic on Greyfriar Gate will reverse. To find out more, visit the My Nottingham News website. [ [link removed] ]
