Friend–

It seems like every week I email you saying one of Mitch McConnell's right-wing groups has put even more money into Alabama. Today is unfortunately not an exception.

The total amount of money attacking Doug has passed $4 million these last few weeks.

In all my experience, whenever I've seen this much money spent this far out from Election Day, it means only one thing: our opponents are worried. The fact that Mitch McConnell has had to spend over $4 million in Alabama in July and August means Doug Jones is in very good shape to win. But he needs our help to fight back.

Before our end of month deadline, will you make a contribution and help Doug fight back? We've got to make sure Alabama knows the truth. >> [[link removed]]

Yes, Doug's in great shape. But I do want to tell you about the big problem Doug's facing right now. The attacks he's facing are downright misleading at best and outright false at worst. He's getting attacked for not voting for a bad Coronavirus relief bill (and, by the way, due in part to his vote, a much better deal for us was passed) and voting on a defense bill that 70 of his colleagues also supported.

The problem is, with that much money behind these ads, Alabamians can't avoid seeing these lies. The Club for Growth is an extremist group who doesn't care who they attack, as long as they achieve their goals: everything from privatizing Social Security to ending Medicare and Medicaid. There's a reason they're spending millions on Tommy Tuberville: He's got their back, 100%. He'll be a rubber stamp for McConnell and Trump in their quest to finally eliminate these vital programs – and remove protections for many of us with pre-existing conditions during a pandemic.

Those are the stakes we face in Alabama, friend. I wouldn't email you unless I really did believe Doug Jones is going to win this race.

So, one last time before our end of month deadline, will you help Doug Jones win re-election this fall? >> [[link removed]]

Thank you for all that you do.
