August is full of anniversaries for us -- some good and some painful. It was in August that thousands of Americans marched on Washington to demand civil rights and liberties in 1963 and Dr. King told the world about his dream. It’s the month Emmett Till was murdered, sparking a new wave of Black resistance.

And it was 11 years ago this month that Barack Obama made history by becoming the first Black presidential nominee of a major United States party. The Collective has been fighting to build Black political power to make sure he won’t be the last.

If you want to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, help us power this movement, make a joint contribution to The Collective and my campaign today.

We must beat Donald Trump in 2020, but beating Donald Trump is the floor, not the ceiling. I’m doing all I can to ensure we elect a new wave of diverse Democratic leaders in the House and Senate who will join my fight for the people when I’m in the White House.

Are you in, team? On the anniversary of President Barack Obama’s nomination, let’s work together to make history again. Chip in $5 or whatever you can right now to help me and The Collective keep making history.
