Accuracy in Media has released two new undercover investigations in Ohio.
At The Ohio State University, Melissa Newhouse, Executive Administrative Assistant for the Office of the Dean, admitted on camera that DEI programming continues despite Ohio’s law intended to curb it.
“Because of the law, we had to change signs and centers … We’re very diverse and [the administrators] are extremely passionate about that, and we are doing what we can. They’re still doing things.” Watch the full OSU video here. ([link removed])
When confronted by Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette and shown her recorded remarks, she denied making those statements. We also confronted Erik Porfeli, Interim Dean, who declined to comment.
Now a second university is telling the same story.
At Kent State University, Jennifer Walton-Fisette, Director of Educator Preparation in the College of Education, Health and Human Services, admitted DEI remains active and described criticism of the programs as existing “just to keep white men in power,” while explaining that efforts continue despite state reforms.
“It’s not being forced through a Trumpian lens — it’s taking away the buzzwords and having to be more careful of how you’re talking about equity and inclusion,” she said. Watch the full Kent State video here. ([link removed])
When we later approached her with questions about her comments, she denied being the individual in the recording and retreated to a back office.
These investigations show a growing pattern of administrators working in concert to evade DEI restrictions and bypass state and federal law.
No taxpayer should be forced to fund DEI programs in education, especially when radical administrators knowingly operate outside the law.
