John,

As the Board of Elections finishes counting votes, we're seeing that the result isn't what we hoped for. I want to let each and every one of you know how much your support means to me.

Thanks to your support we reached over 20K voters through text and phone, raised amongst the most donations from any challenger to an incumbent, and got stellar endorsements from Moms In Office, Brand New Congress, and activists Abby Stein and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed - just to name a few.

We accomplished so much, from elevating the conversation on mental health care, climate change preparedness, and public housing, to pushing our leaders to hold Trump accountable. But most importantly, we represented what our community needs through this global pandemic.

We have momentum, which proves we can't stop now. Our challenges are mounting daily through this public health crisis as Congress is deadlocked. We cannot wait any longer.

One thing is clear: Our federal government isn't moving us forward through this global pandemic. Our public health and our economic health are dependent on what we do in politics.

I know from my economic recovery work at the state level that public health and the health of our economy are inextricably linked. We have to come together for our schools, our hospitals, our small businesses, our essential workers, and each other.

This is a major wake up call. We have a shot to implement long-term change to challenges that have been brewing for decades. It's time to face the foundation of our city's biggest problem - housing. We must account for the mental health services needed to keep people off the streets and support small businesses which are the backbone of every community.

I've worked on the ground for years to prop up small businesses, secure funding for housing, and help people through recovery efforts. I'm committed to making sure our community is safe, and our livelihood is protected. We have plans for housing [[link removed]] , mental healthcare [[link removed]] , seniors [[link removed]] , small businesses [[link removed]] , and economic recovery [[link removed]] that I intend to make good on.

Our work is not over, it is just beginning - and it is more important than ever.

All my best,

Lindsey
