Like clockwork, the Trump administration is working overtime to undermine future elections ahead of this year’s midterms:

The Trump administration is actively demanding sensitive voter information, like driver’s license and Social Security numbers, under the guise of “ensuring compliance with the National Voter Registration Act.”
But these demands for voter rolls aren’t justified by federal law and, in many instances, they actually violate federal and state law. This is textbook government overreach.
Jeopardizing Americans’ private information is no way to ensure free, fair, or secure elections. That’s why we have to ensure that this November, Ohio elects a Secretary of State ready to stand up to these unlawful demands and protect Ohioans’ most sensitive data.

Since September, the DOJ has sued 24 states for refusing to hand over their voters’ sensitive information.
And if you’ll recall, back in September, the DOJ threatened to sue the state of Ohio unless we eliminated our four-day grace period for properly postmarked absentee ballots to be returned after Election Day.
That’s why Frank LaRose and Ohio Republicans worked in concert to rush S.B. 293 into law with almost no input from the public and zero regard for the concerns of voter advocacy groups.
This threat is already in our backyard, Friend. That’s why we must work together to ensure we have an advocate for Ohioans — not another Trump loyalist — at the helm of our election processes.
